Our motivation for sustainable growth

As a family business and contributor in the European market, the Kerbl Group, with its business activities and wide range of accessory products for animal breeding and husbandry, aims to meet the social, economic and ecological requirements of customers, society and employees in a sustainable manner. The Kerbl Group see the challenges as motivation to make positive contributions. The Kerbl Group strives in guiding principles for sustainable improvement from the 17 goals of the United Nations (UN). The responsibility and the management's conviction to orient the company towards these goals form a decisive part of the corporate culture. Increased customer requirements, legal framework conditions and social challenges are taken into account for upstream processes. The company's own business activities and even the use of products with downstream processes.

For a well-founded sustainability strategy with the consideration of all relevant company areas, a basis with essential characteristic values, opportunities, risks and market requirements was developed through a status assessment.

As a result, Albert Kerbl GmbH conducted a materiality analysis for the corporate group in 2021. Almost 60 topics were analysed and their relevance to Kerbl's business activities examined. The influence of Kerbl on external stakeholders was included in the analysis to some extent. In the medium term, it is planned to expand the materiality analysis to include a detailed outside-in analysis.
